Christian is a Columbus native with a passion and swagger that is completely his own. With his project 16Sixteens, which in his words is an “Hors d’oeuvre before his project”, Christian runs through beats with a classic-yet-strong flow that makes you take notice of his passion for art. Even within the title, you know exactly what you are getting with this project: full bars. Talking with him showed me the humility an artist has and how it can shape your career if needed be. Christian is really grounded in his beliefs and his vision, and has a strong team behind him to help make his vision a reality. Even his manager J Thorough shares that same passion. It’s a great thing to see; a dynamic between an artist and a manager that’s trying to get it in while representing the culture of hip-hop. It’s something don’t see much something akin to Puffy and Biggie, or Jay-Z and Dame Dash back in the day.
